Computer system requirements:

Below are the minimum computer-system requirements for the MegaStudio Artist's FireBox hardware and all included software:

Windows

• OS: Microsoft Windows XP
• Computer: Windows compatible computer with IEEE 1394 FireWire port.
• CPU/Clock: Pentium, Athlon with 900Mhz or higher (1.5GHz recommended)
• Memory(RAM): 256 MB (512MB recommended)

Macintosh

• OS: MacOS X ver. 10.3.7 or later
• CPU/Clock: PowerPC G4/800Mhz or higher (G4/Dual 1 GHz recommended), all Intel/Mac models
• Memory(RAM): 256 MB (512MB recommended)

Software Compatibility

• All included software is compatible with both Windows Vista/XP and Macintosh operating systems EXCEPT:


• Sony Vegas Movie Studio + DVD (Windows Visat/XP only)
• Sony CD Architect (Windows Visat/XP only)

Note that the speed of your processor, amount of RAM and size and speed of your hard drive will greatly affect the overall performance of your recording system. Also, a more powerful system (faster processor with more RAM) will allow for lower latency (signal delay) that you might experience while monitoring audio or MIDI signals.

Monitor resolution for both PC and Macintosh should be no lower than 1024x768 pixels.
