Marketing Ace Ron Koliha Joins the PreSonus Band

September 28, 2009

PreSonus is thrilled to announce that industry veteran Ron Koliha has joined the company as Vice President of Marketing/Creative Director. For the past two years, Koliha has been the Director of Global Marketing/Creative Director for Behringer, and before that he served as Creative Director for Harman Music Group and for Tascam. But he is best known as the original marketing mastermind of Mackie Designs, where his humorous and highly effective ads and promotions put the “wacky” in Mackie.

Koliha is responsible for all PreSonus marketing communications and branding initiatives, including advertising. His marketing savvy and distinctive style have already been demonstrated in recent PreSonus ads, marketing materials, and promotions.

“Ron Koliha is one of the best creative marketers in the industry,” observes PreSonus CEO Jim Mack. “Furthermore, he has a deep understanding of the many new communication tools available today. Ron is the latest addition to the great team of creative and technical people we are assembling here in Baton Rouge. We started with a strong base, built around founder and president Jim Odom, and in the past 15 months we have added high-powered engineer and CTO Bob Tudor, who was responsible for developing some of the most iconic products in our industry, and marketing-communications ace Steve O, who is a bit of an icon himself."

"It's a great honor to work at an engineering powerhouse like PreSonus, especially now that they're rounding out the line with superb software,” says Koliha. "Being able to join forces with old friends like Jim Mack (my boss at Tascam), Bob Tudor (Mackie Designs’ digital guru), and Steve Oppenheimer (my second-favorite editor), while gorging myself on Cajun food, is an unbeatable combination.”

Koliha gives fair warning that life at PreSonus might never be the same now that he has come onboard. "I'm not sure if PreSonus is ready for my Hello Kitty office décor, which got banned at my last job,” he admits, “but we'll work something out."
