Diamond Entertainment and PreSonus Support West, Texas, Benefit

April 23, 2013

The recent tragic explosion at the West Fertilizer Company in West, Texas, left 14 dead and some 200 with serious injuries and property loss. Fortunately, the community has responded superbly to this stunning disaster, and the local Red Cross is making a valiant effort—but they need help.

To this end, a benefit concert for the regional Red Cross, featuring 12 bands, will be held on Sunday, April 28, at Sherlock's Pub, 9012 Research Blvd., in Austin, Texas. Along with the show, there will be a fundraising raffle for which local vendors are donating items. PreSonus is donating a recording interface for the raffle.

Diamond Entertainment will mix and record the show with a PreSonus StudioLive 24.4.2 digital mixer and newly released Capture 2 recording software and will wirelessly control the mixer using PreSonus StudioLive Remote for iPad.

“Our hearts go out to the victims in West and to their families and community,” says PreSonus Vice President of Sales Rick Naqvi. “We appreciate Diamond Entertainment owner/engineer Brian Busch and his company for helping the relief effort and are pleased that we can contribute. A lot of families are hurting in West right now, and we encourage people to donate to the Red Cross’s relief effort.”
