Stephen Fraser Joins the PreSonus Team
May 3, 2010
PreSonus is pleased to announce that Stephen Fraser has joined its executive team as Chief Operations Officer. Among his many responsibilities as COO are overseeing the company's supply chain and manufacturing during a period when the company is significantly expanding its product line and distribution.
Fraser's early career in corporate banking, corporate finance, and operations included heading up corporate finance at BBL in Europe, and he has held high-level financial and operations positions in Europe, North America, and Asia. Most recently, he worked at Behringer Group, where he was president of the North America subsidiary, Group COO, and then Chief of Staff.
“PreSonus is in the midst of a crucial growth phase,” explains PreSonus CEO Jim Mack. “In order to consistently deliver top-quality products and services efficiently and effectively for years to come, we need an extremely experienced, talented, and no-nonsense chief of operations who knows how highly successful businesses are built and run. Stephen Fraser is clearly the right choice to help us take the company to the next level and beyond.”
Indeed, Fraser jumped in immediately and made a difference. Since he joined the executive team in January, PreSonus has developed a new quality-assurance department in Asia; expanded its sourcing team in Asia; begun a phased introduction of new distribution channels; and initiated a major overhaul of the Customer Service department and the support process for distributors and dealers. And those are just a few of his recent projects.
“It has been baptism by fire for sure,” says Fraser. “Supported by a terrific management team that is committed to change, we are making good progress in a year that Jim Mack has earmarked specifically for improving our processes and strengthening our team. We are a significant brand in the audio-electronics industry, and through this focus on core improvements to our operation, we will be in a great position to support our next phase of growth, which is already underway. These are exciting times!”
