PreSonus Partners with the Tipitina’s Foundation
July 31, 2010
We’re delighted to announce that we have established a new relationship with the Tipitina’s Foundation, a nonprofit organization sponsored by the famous Tipitina’s music clubs of New Orleans.
The Tipitina’s Foundation operates a statewide network of workforce-development and job-skills training centers, serving more than 2,400 Louisiana musicians, film makers, and other digital media workers, known as Music Office Co-Ops. These Co-Ops provide such amenities as computers, Internet connections, printers, telephones, page-layout and Web-design tools, and music and video editing systems to musicians who can't afford, or don't otherwise have access to, office and basic music-production resources. Musicians also benefit from a variety of tutorials and on-site technical support.
PreSonus has donated five-license copies of Studio One Pro to every Tipitina’s Music Office Co-Op in Louisiana, including the Baton Rouge, Lafayette, Alexandria, Shreveport, and New Orleans locations. The Baton Rouge location will also receive FireStudio Mobile interfaces for the recording and video-editing stations, and our staff will also offer quarterly “how to” workshops there.
"PreSonus feels especially tied to the Tipitina's Foundation because most of our employees are Louisiana musicians,” says PreSonus Vice President of Sales Rick Naqvi. “We are proud to be a part of the work that the Foundation is doing to enable Louisiana artists to develop and flourish."
"The Music Office Co-Op has been using PreSonus equipment for a long time to teach our members how to record,” comments Tipitina's Foundation Co-Op Director Todd Souvignier. “They’re great audio solutions from a great Louisiana company. We're honored that PreSonus would choose to work with the Co-Op and provide these exciting new tools. The gear and the workshops are going to help a lot of musicians bring their games up."
