FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE PreSonus FireStudio NOW SHIPPING Baton Rouge, LA November 3, 2006 – The PreSonus FireStudio recording system is now shipping. The FireStudio is a 26 input 26 output firewire recording interface loaded with 8 microphone preamps, MIDI I/O, SPDIF I/O, word clock, 8 channels of optical ADAT light pipe (dual SMUX at 96K) in/out and a 36x36x18 DSP matrix routing mixer. The FireStudio is the big brother to the award winning FIREPOD adding more inputs and outputs, DSP mixing and routing, as well as the optional MSR (Monitor Station Remote) - a complete surround capable desktop remote control delivering the ability to switch between Track, Mix and Surround modes, as well as talkback, dim, mute, mono and dual headphone amplifiers. With the MSR, Track Mode delivers nine stereo mixes for monitoring in headphones during tracking, Mix Mode allows the user to switch between three sets of stereo monitors, and Surround Mode enables 5.1 surround control for mixing in surround sound. The FireStudio ships with a full compliment of software including Cubase LE and the PreSonus ProPak Complete – Reason Adapted, Amplitube LE, BFD Lite, Drumagog and over 2 GB of plug-ins, drum loops and samples.
