John Bastianelli Joins the PreSonus Team
April 29, 2010
PreSonus is proud to announce that John Bastianelli has joined its executive team as Executive Vice President of Product Management. A highly creative product-development professional, Bastianelli has a long and successful track record specializing in pro audio and consumer hardware and software products, managing product and engineering teams globally for such companies as M-Audio/Avid and Tascam America.
For the past seven years, Bastianelli has served as Senior Director of Product Management for M-Audio, building that company’s product-management team and developing the company’s product strategy and roadmap, among many other responsibilities. Prior to his work at M-Audio and Tascam, served as Executive Manager of Product Strategies and as National Sales Manager for CreamWare US. He also holds a B.S. in business and music from Hofstra University.
Of course, Bastianelli is a musician—that’s almost a given at PreSonus. For 15 years, he performed and recorded professionally as a woodwind, saxophone, and keyboard player and synth programmer.
“I’m delighted to have this opportunity to join PreSonus at a key time, when the company is growing quickly and developing truly game-changing hardware and software products,” says Bastianelli. “I am confident that I can help Jim Odom, Jim Mack, and the rest of the team to further develop the PreSonus product line and to lead the company in exciting directions. Of course, what closed the deal is that in Baton Rouge, I can easily find real Louisiana crawfish étouffée!”
Comments PreSonus CEO Jim Mack, “I’ve worked with John Bastianelli in the past and have long admired his knowledge of the industry, his creative insights about what makes products must-haves for musicians, and his tremendous organizational skills and overall business acumen. He’s exactly the person we need heading up our product-management efforts, and we are very lucky to have him.”
