Could you please enter a Feature Request to add the 31 band graphic on the aux sends as well?? Using as monitor console, that would get rid of the outboard graphics needed. Solo is already post EQ and that is what is needed for a queue wedge!!

I'm looking to purchase the studiolive to replace my A H mixwizard. This will be my first move towards digital mixing. Is there an EQ for the main outputs? Would I still benefit from carrying a dual 31 band EQ for FOH? I noticed on the live gig video there was something in the kick drum insert, I'm figuring an EQ again, since everything else is onboard. Basicly I'm just trying to figure out what I should be keeping from my analog set up. Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

Regarding the pad: yes, because of the extra dynamic range in the StudioLive, we did not find a need for a Pad. The potentiometer of the preamp goes down far enough even with a very hot microphone and has plenty of gain for dynamic mics (even ribbons).

Hi Igan,

The posting on Gearslutz was an older one. At that time we only had threshold for the gate. We have since added release time (very big improvement) and also two different gate modes: one is a downward expander and the other is a true noise gate. These are switchable in the system menu in pairs. The downward expander mode sounds much more musical for vocals, guitars, etc.. But the gate mode works nicer for drums (especially drummers that hit very hard and have a lot of bleedover into the drum mics).
